A Sudden Realization
I just realized that I still watch wrestling. Why? Hell if I know. I'm sick of John Cena (for the past 8 or so years). The WWE don't put on as much good wrestling as they used to. Plus, the WWE has this wierd obsession with social media and always go on and on about "twitter" and "tout". What garbage.
There's still some bits worth watching. "The Shield" are pretty entertaining and are good wrestlers. I'm trying my best not to feel actual shame for watching but the WWE is sure making things difficult, especially when they put on shit like this:
No wonder nobody admits they watch wrestling in public.

The Gates of Hell
The Metro Manila Development Authority and all the social media justice warriors are up in arms and full of outrage at Dan Brown's latest novel. In the book Inferno, Manila is described as such; “Manila has six-hour jams, suffocating air and a horrifying sex trade
whose workers consisted primarily of young children, many of whom have
been sold to pimps by parents who took solace in knowing that at least
their children would be fed.”
They can whine and shout "Unfair!" all they want at a fictional novel but the truth hurts doesn't it? Honestly, are they implying Manila is some sort of perfect paradise? I've been to Manila and it isn't that great. I thought it was horrible actually.
Manila is a concrete hell with traffic jams that add an hour to what would normally be a twenty minute drive. The urban sprawl and grime is near post-nuclear apocalyptic and the squalor of the shanty towns and slum areas makes one wonder how those poor wretches resembling human beings can even survive let alone reproduce as much as they do. Pollution is everywhere; in the streets, in the rivers and in the air. It's positively dystopic with advertising billboards exhorting the masses to consume while people starve outside the gated communities of the rich.
I don't know the ins and outs of the sex trade but it's not totally unbelievable parents would pimp their children for money. Sad to say but poor people will do anything (except stop having children) to get a good meal.
People getting mad over a book instead of the actual problems facing the city really need to get their heads examined. Better yet, why don't they step outside their favorite air-conditioned Starbucks and take a fucking look around.
But I'm trying to be an optimist, right? Things can change for the better. I'm sure it will now that the Manilenos have elected an alcoholic, philander, two-bit actor who also dropped out of school and was actually convicted of plunder. Way to go, you morons... er I mean, Pinoy Pride! Democracy! People Power!
I hope Cebu never goes the way of those geniuses up north.

Lens
I think I need new glasses.
Maybe my lens grade will be so high now, I'll need contact lenses...
or surgery...

Ninja Farmer
See this shit?
The horror...
It's called Rubedo, a fictional mineral in the game called Warframe. I need a lot of it to make my badass ninja suit but to get it, I need to play missions on certain planets over and over again. It's farming. It's cold, brutal and merciless farming. This brings back nightmares of farming "fish feast" ingredients in Wintergrasp back in World of Warcraft.
The horror...

Taiwan Trouble
Boy, we sure are making a lot of friends are we?
Come to think of it, aside from the United States, what other country is the Philippines closely allied with? I can't think of any that I could call an ally in a sense that it would aid us militarily in case of a conflict.
And how about our overseas workers? Doesn't it bother people that, as thew Taiwan row has shown, that any foreign nation that employs a lot of our workers can use their employment and resulting remittances as bargaining chips?
What a joke.

On The Job Training
So Nancy Binay won, huh? I wrote some things about here but I always knew her victory was inevitable. The rest of the Internet may be throwing a fit but it was going to happen.
As if to put our fears to rest, Nancy enrolled in the University of the Philippines after her victory. She's studying how to govern now. Well isn't that something? An on-the-job trainee Senator... Get the job now and be qualified for it later.
Say, can I be a lawyer right now and just study later?
